More details coming next week.
Today, Ubisoft revealed that the next game in the series will be called Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and that it will be released this year on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Wii U. They didn’t confirm any next-gen systems, but I think it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing it on the PS4 and the next Xbox as well.
What we know so far is that the Playstation version will include exclusive content, it will feature a new protagonist and it’s rumored that it will be Edward Kenway, grandfather of AC3′s Connor, and that it will take place in new locations, also rumored to be the Caribbean, Cuba, Jamaica and the Bahamas. It also looks like the game is going to be heavily themed around Pirates, based on the content in the box art, and who doesn’t love a good Pirate adventure?
Ubisoft will be holding a press conference on Monday, March 4th at 12pm EST to reveal more details about the game, so we don’t have to wait that long for some answers. For now, all we have for sure, is the box art above.
