Back when Nintendo first announced the pricing and release date for the Wii U, the mentioned something about a digital promotion for those who decided to go with the Wii U Deluxe Set at launch. Today, they’ve finally let us know just what kind of digital bonuses we’ll be getting.
The Wii U Deluxe Digital Promotion will earn you 10% cash back on all your Nintendo eSshop purchases, provided you buy the Deluxe Set at launch. This means that if you purchase a game from the eShop that costs $59.99, you’ll get 599 ‘points’ toward the Deluxe Digital Promotion. Every time you earn 500 points you can redeem it for a $5 eShop credit that can be used for any new purchases. The Digital Deluxe Promotion will also run all the way until December 2014!
Personally, I’m glad I decided to pre-order the Deluxe set because now I stand to be able to make up the difference in price via eShop purchases, and still come out ahead in the end. Not bad, Nintendo, not bad.
