Stop pulling your ethernet cord in and out.
If you played Modern Warfare 3 today you might have noticed that a new update was released, and were probably wondering what it was for. Well, don’t get too excited as it was mostly networking related. Actually wait, maybe you should get excited.
Networking has never been Call of Duty’s strong suit, although we do find Modern Warfare 3 to be the best one yet and we’ve had far less issues with it compared to previous games. If you’ve noticed issues, maybe this patch will help. Or maybe it won’t and you’ll still play it anyway.
You can read the changes included in the patch below:
All Platforms:
- Significantly reduced lag spikes caused when someone joined a match in progress.
- Added more matchmaking/performance telemetry to allow us optimize to our backend servers.
- New networking code improvements to be initially rolled out in the Domination playlist October 10th, mid-morning with more playlists to come.
PC Specific:
- Support for Collection 4.
