What to play on the scariest day of the year.

Whether you’re planning on sitting alone in the dark and playing something scary or looking for something to play with some friends on Halloween, there are lots of sales going on and some new DLC being released to help keep the mood dark and scary.

DLC:

Fruit Ninja Kinect – Trick or Treat Bag (Xbox Live – 160 MS Points) - This new DLC, for one of my favorite Kinect games, includes the Slasher Blades, Haunted House Background and a new Ghost Shadow. To top it all off, even the Sensei is dressed up for Halloween. Click here to watch a video of the Trick or Treat Bag in action.

Minecraft – Halloween Skin Pack (Xbox Live – 160 MS Points ) - The newest skin pack for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition includes 55 different skins that are all designed for Halloween, which includes a Vampire, Zombie, Evil Robot, Frankenstein, Skeleton, Headless Horseman, Mad Scientist and many more. It’s also for a good cause, as 100% of the proceeds from the Halloween Skin Pack are being donated to charity.

Sleeping Dogs – Nightmare in North Point Pack (Xbox 360, PS3, PC – 560 MS Points($12) - Sleeping Dogs is far from being a scary game, but the newest DLC for it transforms Hong Kong into a city of the dead with Zombies, Vampires and Ghosts roaming the city and it’s up to Wei Shen to take them out. Click here to watch a video of Nightmare in North Point in action.

Dungeon Defenders – Halloween Mission and Costume Packs (Steam PC – Free) - They may not be new, but the Halloween Mission and Costume packs that were released last year for Dungeon Defenders are free this Halloween. Old or not, you can’t argue with free stuff. Right now it shows up at $0.49 but Trendy Entertainment are working on getting the price adjusted to Free, so it may not be fixed by the time you read this. If not, check back later for an update.
