Plan your skill path before you meet Gaige and Deathtrap.
Promised on a whim and a drawing, before the game was released, Borderlands 2 will be adding a fifth playable character soon and you can plan how you’re going to level her up before you actually get to play her.
Gaige, the Mechromancer, will be joining the cast of Borderlands 2 soon and she’ll be bringing her robot friend Deathtrap. That’s right, her main skill will be summoning a robot to fight alongside you and one of her skill trees will be mainly focused players who aren’t very good at first person shooters. The “Best Friends Forever” skill tree will focus on things like decreasing damage and increasing accuracy.
We’ll let you know when we hear a concrete release date for the Mechromancer class, which will be free for Premiere Club members, but for now you can check out the skill tree here.
Update: Shortly after this article went up, Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software, announced via twitter that the Mechromancer’s release date would be October 9th on all platforms. How’s that for timing?
