Unconfirmed reports of the Wii U Price and release date, from a possibly reliable source.
Some information hit the net today that I found a little too plausible to ignore. Keep in mind this is all rumor, but the Wii U may have a price and release date courtesy of game hardware supplier Video Product Distributors.
The report comes from GoNintendo.com and links to a YouTube video (since removed) that shows the following Wii U bundle and pricing info via the Video Product Distributors website:
Three separate SKUs for the Wii U, beginning at $249.99:
- WIIU SYSTEM – GM – 11/11/12 $249.99
- WIIU SYSTEM W/ – GM – 11/11/12 $299.99
- WIIU SYSTEM 349 W/ – GM – 11/11/12 $349.99
Video Product Distributors are the company that supplies retailers like Amazon.com and Overstock.com with their video game hardware, so this could be legitimate, but they require you to be a registered company they do business with to view the products on their site. Because of this, we aren’t able to verify anything. We also don’t know what the three different bundles will actually include.
There you have it, your latest Wii U price and release date rumor. Look for the Wii U, maybe, on November 11th, 2012.
