Animated Power Rings!
We’ve already detailed the numerous internal updates that NHL 13 is bringing to EA’s Hockey franchise but now we’re getting a look at the presentation side of things. Just how will EA up the ante on their already immersive experience? Animated Power Rings, that’s how (now, I finally know what those things are called).
The most notable of this year’s visual and presentation upgrades is the introduction of the True Broadcast Camera (shown above). This camera is meant, as its name states, to mimic the camera angle that Hockey fans are familiar with by way of TV broadcasts. Personally, I think it might take some getting used to in terms of control, but I like the idea.
