One hundred waves of death.
During the Darksiders 2 Campaign you’ll reach a point where you have “proved your mettle” (fairly deep into the story, but before you complete it we assume) you’ll unlock an Arena Mode called ‘The Crucible.’
The Crucible will feature 100 waves of enemies that increase in power and difficulty as you progress. Every five waves you complete, you’ll be given a chance to cash out and take some random loot. If you choose to continue, and die at any time you’ll win yourself absolutely nothing. You also can’t grind the Crucible as you’ll earn no experience while in the arena, so if you’re not feeling up to par you’ll have to spend some more time in the single player campaign.
