How many Orcs Must Die before you stop?
Robot Entertainment have revealed a new Endless Mode for Orcs Must Die 2, which will have you facing off with endless waves of angry Orcs to see how long you can survive.
This new Endless Mode, which is available in both Single Player and Co-op, can be played on five of the Campaign levels and five orignal levels just for the new mode. For every five waves that you survive, you will encounter a golden-armored Orc called Mr Moneybags who will reward you with bonus cash if you manage to kill him before he escapes.
I am a fan of survival modes, but I typically prefer ones that have a clear end goal, such as a specific amount of waves to complete like in Gears of War 3′s Horde Mode or Ghost Recon Future Soldier’s Guerilla mode. I can’t judge Orcs Must Die 2′s Endless Mode yet since I haven’t played it, but the only endless survival mode that I was never bored with was Halo ODST’s Firefight. I find them to be fun for a bit, but I end up growing tired with them quicker than ones with an actual end. That’s just me though and who knows, maybe Endless Mode in Orcs Must Die 2 will become another exception. Only time will tell.
