New Fortnite Details and Screenshots Released

Better start shopping for a new PC.

At Comic-Con San Diego today, Epic Games revealed new details and screenshots for their upcoming post-apocalyptic survival game, Fortnite.

To start with, they revealed that Fortnite will be their first game to run on the new Unreal Engine 4 and that it will be exclusively released on the PC. Epic went into more detail about the actual gameplay, which will allow players to gather supplies and build shelters during the day, and fend off undead enemies at night. You will be able to build everything from detailed buildings and traps, to crafting new weapons with the supplies you are able to collect from around the world. Sounds familiar, but looks much different.

Fortnite features a cartoonish art style which looks great running on the new Unreal Engine 4 and will be aimed at high-end PC’s according to Epic. As someone who plays a lot of Minecraft, Fortnite sounds like it will be very similar but with everything taken to extreme new levels, which so far sounds great to me.

Fortnite still doesn’t have a firm release date, but you check out some screenshots of Fortnite below while we wait for Epic to announce it.
