Great news for fans of the TV Show.
It’s not very often that you see two video games, by two different companies, based on the same content and released so close to each other, but today Activision announced that they will be publishing Terminal Reality’s upcoming The Walking Dead Video Game.
Not to be confused with Telltale Games The Walking Dead series, Terminal Reality’s First-Person Shooter version will be based on the TV Show that runs on AMC. It will follow brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon as they make their way to Atlanta following the zombie apocalypse. Details are slim right now, but we do know that The Walking Dead Video Game will, much like Telltale’s games, rely heavily on your decisions and will vary depending on how you choose to play. Activision did not provide any details on co-op or multiplayer in their Walking Dead game, but hopefully, due to the game revolving around brothers, that we’ll get some co-op in this one.
As a big fan of The Walking Dead, particularly the TV Show, I’m excited for a second game and can’t wait to see more on it. It’s not much, but you can view a quick teaser trailer for the game below.
UPDATE: This game has been quietly renamed to The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. A good move, if you ask me.
