Sony confirmed, via the Official Playstation Blog last night, that at some point today they will release Firmware version 4.20 for PS3 users around the world.

The latest update includes the following fixes:
- Improve sidetone audio performance by giving you the option to select one out of five levels for microphone audio, or turn the feature off completely.
- Add the option to enable virtual surround sound while using the Wireless Stereo Headset when watching Blu-Ray or DVD movies.
- Add the option to allow you to set the amount of time that the system will wait before turning itself off automatically for [Video/TV/Music/Photo] and for [Game/Other Features].
- Improvements to save data management, allowing you to now select multiple saved data items and delete or copy them as a group.
On top of the updates already mentioned, Sony will reveal more details about firmware 4.20 once it goes live. We will update this article once they do.
