Shoot in style.
Each level in Max Payne 3 features one, or more, Golden Guns that can be assembled by collecting three parts scattered throughout the level. This guide will give you the locations of all of these Golden Guns broken down by chapter.
Chapter 1
PT92 Part 1 – At the end of the very first hall where you have control of MAx.
PT92 Part 2 – Directly right of the elevator you get off of after saving the boss’s wife.
PT92 Part 3 – In the back right corner of the second area in the parking garage, after opening the gate with the wall switch.
Chapter 2
Mini-30 Part 1 – Behind the bar in the night club.
.38 Revolver Part 1 – Climb up on the stage in the first section of the bar, the part is behind the DJ table.
.38 Revolver Part 2 – Take the stairs through the door to the left of the DJ platform after you go upstairs to the second part of the nightclub.
Mini-30 Part 2 – Between two tables in the center platform of the chinese restaurant after leaving the nightclub.
Mini-30 Part 3 – After the helicopter battle, exit the helipad and loop around to your right at the bottom of the stairs. Go through a closed door to an elevator lobby.
.38 Revolver Part 2 – At the end of the catwalk behind the huge red lettered sign you pass during the helicopter battle. This can be picked up after the helicopter sequence.
Chapter 3
M10 Part 1 – In the room where Passos interrogates the wounded thug there is a video control room on the right side of the room. The part will be in there on the floor.
M82A1 Part 1 – On a shelf behind you when you regain control of Max in the Soccer stadium’s store. You’ll have to backtrack after the firefight here.
M10 Part 1 – Behind you and down the stairs after you take out the first sniper in the Soccer stadium.
M10 Part 2 – In the front row of the theater style seats in the VIP area of the Soccer stadium. If you hit the Claudio memorial, you’ve gone too far.
M82A1 Part 2 – After Max goes up the service elevator, go down the stairs and as far left as you can go in the stands, the part is behind a blue wall.
M82A1 Part 3 – When Max is going to take out the last sniper, in the IT tower, go up the stairs toward the sniper then hard right at the top before going in the door. Go all the way to the end of the seating section.
Chapter 4
1911 Part 1 – Backtrack to the front door of the bar, the part is to the left of the entrance if you’re facing into the bar.
1911 Part 2 – Go up the stairs in the back room of the bar, then down the hall at the end of the balcony.
1911 Part 3 – After exiting the bar, backtrack down the stairs when you have control of Max again.
M500 Part 1 – Backtrack into Max’s apartment.
SAF 40 Cal Part 1 – Inside the burnt out apartment after the explosion.
M500 Part 2 – Loop around to the right of the door you come out of on the apartment building roof.
SAF 40 Cal Part 2 – After the collapsing water tower head left as far as you can go across the rooftops.
M500 Part 3 – In the partially demolished apartment building loop around to the left after going up the stairs.
SAF 40 Cal Part 3 – On the desk in the office of the chop shop.
Chapter 5
Micro 9mm Part 1 – After exiting the warehouse where Max saw Fabiana on video, take out the guys in the shipping container then head right and climb up on another container.
Micro 9mm Part 2 – After finding the video camera, exit the warehouse and stick right. You’ll find the part just around the corner of the building.
Micro 9mm Part 3 – After clearing out the boat warehouse head upstairs before opening the garage door to exit. The part is on the catwalk.
LMG .30 Part 1 – Take the low route in the next warehouse, through the door with the rotating light above it. You’ll find the part in an open shipping container.
LMG .30 Part 2 – In a wooden shed on the far side of the second area of the docks.
LMG .30 Part 3 – On the far side of the small hut that Fabiana was being held out on the water.
