Bethesda Confirms The Elder Scrolls Online MMO

Let the hype begin!

Bethesda Softworks confirmed in a press release today that they are hard at work on an MMO titled The Elder Scrolls Online. This game will obviously be set in the same universe as their other classic games Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls Online is being developed for both PC and Mac with industry veteran Matt Firor (Dark Ages of Camelot) at the helm. More details will be available via the folks at Game Informer tomorrow and we’ll update you when we can get our hands on any other concrete details.

Bethesda has long been rumored to be developing an MMO but with their recent legal battle over the Fallout MMO, that was the game most were expecting. What would you like to see in an MMO set in the Elder Scrolls universe? Tell us below.

I used to work for bethsoft, I can tell you (like all there games) this will just end up on the shelf for 20 dollars new. They couldn’t put out a bug free/glitch free game if their lives depended on it. But don’t tell the dev’s there’s a bug, or you’ll get fired without an explanation.

WTF why not for xbox or ps3??? We want a elder scrolls mmo just as much, thats basically a big fuck you to the none computer oriented gamers…….

  consoles probably wouldn’t be able to handle the map size or all the different textures, enemies and villages and shit. not very well anyway.
