Square Enix have released a slew of new details this week regarding their upcoming Open World Action game, Sleeping Dogs. They confirmed the release date in North America is August 14th and then August 17th for the rest of the world, they announced that UFC Champion Georges St-Pierre has become involved in the game and they also revealed what pre-order items are available.
The news of Georges St-Pierre (GSP) being involved with the game came as a bit of a surprise, but once they explained that he is working as a consultant to ensure that the hand-to-hand combat is accurate and fun, it made sense, and there aren’t many people out there more qualified to consult on hand-to-hand combat. His face being associated with the game probably won’t hurt sales either. Not only is he helping to shape the game’s combat, but he’s also being included in the pre-order items for Sleeping Dogs, with the GSP Outfit and one of his signature moves, the Superman Punch, being unlocked when you pre-order from Best Buy.
