Ahead of Sony’s teased reveal for April 19th, Amazon.com put up a product page (which has since been taken down) for God of War Ascension. The rumors are true, we’re getting a new God of War game! Only not until 2013, if Amazon is to be believed.
While the Amazon product page was only up for a short time we do know that God of War Ascension will be released in 2013 and that you will “Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far.”
While that is fairly vague, the leaked trailer that went along with all of this strongly suggests that this game will be a prequel of some sort as it references a time before Kratos became the Ghost of Sparta. Watch the teaser trailer below and let the speculation begin!
