The saga continues.
Earlier today Youtube user lljkceski posted a video that allegedly shows that a simple config file hack of the PC version of Mass Effect 3 enables the Prothean character Javik without purchasing the From Ashes DLC.
I need to stress that The Controller Online has not been able to verify this information, as we don’t have a PC copy of the game, but if true this is hard evidence that part of the content for Bioware’s contentious day one DLC is included on the disc already.
Whether you agree with on-disc DLC or feel you’re entitled to all content on the disc, this video allegedly refutes what Mass Effect 3 Executive Producer, Casey Hudson, said before the release. He claimed the From Ashes DLC was worked on after the game went to testing and manufacturing. Well, you can’t add content to a disc after manufacturing so it would seem we were misled.
Though it doesn’t appear that the related mission content is available, this video seems to show the character Javik, and all of his voice files, are already included on the disc. Bioware could say that the missions are what you’re paying for but they’ve already denied that any of it was on the disc. What do you think?
