As one of the most anticipated games of the fall, Batman Arkham City is getting a proper midnight release launch.
So far we know that GameStop, and Toy ‘R’ Us in the US and GAME in the UK will be opening their stores early so you can get your hands on the Caped Crusader.
As more stores and Countries announce midnight openings, we will update this list.
USA
Toys “R” Us:
For those really lucky gamers in New York City, the Toys “R” Us store in Times Square at 1514 Broadway will be opening at 4pm, yes 4pm on Monday Oct 17th to sell 500 copies of Batman Arkham City early. You lucky jerks.
GameStop:
GameStop stores around the country will be opening at 10pm on Oct 17th. Check your local store here.
Best Buy
There are some Best Buy stores opening at midnight tonight but the site to find out which stores is not very user friendly. If you pre-ordered at Best Buy (which I recommended a few weeks ago),you can search for your local store here.
United Kingdom
GAME stores in the UK are expected to open at midnight on the 21st, but nothing official on their site. Beefjack.com reported last week that GAME stores have begun putting up posters but since we aren’t in the UK we can’t confirm. If you are there, head down to your local store for more info and check back here for more info as we get it.
They are rumored to also be giving away freebies such as DLC codes during the midnight release, but they have yet to officially confirm this as well.
Canada
GameStop:

Futureshop will also be giving away some bonus items to anyone who buys the game at midnight. You will receive Batman Begins on Blu-Ray and a $10 credit towards Assassin’s Creed Revelations. They also have random t-shirt and poster giveaways too. Sounds like the place to go at midnight so far.
