Call of Juarez:The Cartel Story Trailer

Techland takes its Western series to modern times.

The Call of Juarez series hasn’t really been smash hit, but things are looking up with the newest entry.

Techland have taken their western franchise 100 years forward into modern-day Los Angeles. This time around players follow Ben McCall, a law enforcement agent who descends from the characters from the first two games. He also has some help from friends Eddie and Kim.

One of the major features of the game is that will support 3 player, drop-in, drop-out co-op for the campaign. You can play the game from the perspective of any of the 3 characters, and each character has their own unique story to really add to the replay value. It will also support a full featured online multiplayer which has a leveling system with new unlocks and gear as you level up.

The overall plot is the US govt has called in these agents to help take down the Mexican drug cartel. As seen in the trailer below, the locations will range from downtown clubs, car chases on the freeway to border shootouts in the desert.

The 3 player co-op support is something games like this usually miss the mark on so as long as it works well, it should help put this game on many players wish list.

The game is scheduled to drop July 19th, but until then check out the trailer below.
